What are Threads? Threads are made from a complex sugar polydioxanone or PDO – a safe suture material that has been used in orthopedic and cardiovascular surgeries for over 30 years.
Thread Lift is a minimally invasive procedure. The Acutal Thread is made of PDO (polydioxanone) which promotes the stimulation of collagen and neovascularization as it absorbs under the skin. As it absorbs over time it will improve skin elasticity, texture, fine lines, and volume, for overall rejuvenation.
Tiny entry points are made in the skin where the thread will enter. There are tiny barbs strategically placed and molded all around each thread. Once the threads are placed into the skin, the barbs anchor onto sagging skin, and the thread is then pulled to achieve a defined lift.
This revolutionary technology allows instant yet profound results while minimizing pain & trauma – allowing patients to benefit from a shorter recovery time and providing an alternative for those who may not be ready for surgery or request a non-surgical option.
